About the Division
The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Business and Economics / Diyala University is the vital engine for the development of institutional and academic work. It is responsible for establishing a culture of total quality and monitoring the commitment of scientific departments and administrative units to national and international standards. The division works as a measurement and evaluation tool that ensures the sobriety of educational outcomes in line with the requirements of the labor market and the aspirations of sustainable development, and decisions related to quality are made through the quality assurance council in the college.
Vision, Mission & Goals
* Vision: To lead in the application of total quality management systems to elevate the College of Business and Economics to the ranks of accredited colleges locally and internationally.
* Mission: To work to improve academic and administrative performance through continuous evaluation, to provide an educational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation, and to ensure transparency in all university practices.
Strategic Objectives
1. Spreading the culture of quality and awareness of academic accreditation among all faculty members and students.
2. Obtaining national and international program accreditation for specialized scientific departments.
3. Developing the skills of teaching and functional staff through workshops and qualitative training programs.
4. Improving the college’s ranking in international rankings by following up on scientific research indicators and teaching quality.
5. Automate administrative processes and document all scientific and research activities in solid databases.
Organizational Structure and Functions
The division consists of specialized units that work in full integration to achieve the college’s strategy:
1. Quality Assurance Module:
– Preparing academic accreditation files for scientific departments.
– Follow up the description of programs and courses and update them periodically.
– Conducting beneficiary satisfaction surveys (students, teachers, employers) and analyzing their results.
2. Performance Appraisal Unit:
– Supervising the annual evaluation files of the college’s employees (faculty and staff).
– Prepare the annual college self-assessment report that identifies strengths and opportunities for improvement.
– Auditing the statistical data and scientific activities carried out within the college.
3. Laboratory Unit:
– Monitoring the quality of educational laboratories and ensuring their conformity with technical standards and modern devices.
– Ensuring the application of occupational and environmental safety standards within computer and statistical laboratories.
