The Sixth Scientific Conference of the College of Administration and Economics Launches, Pursuant to Sustainable Development Pathways

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, the President of the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, inaugurated the Sixth Scientific Conference entitled: “Innovations and Sustainable Development Pathways According to Economic, Administrative, and Foresight Perspectives.” The conference was held in the Academic Forum Hall of the College of Engineering. The conference was attended by a select group of Iraqi and Arab researchers and consultants in the field of finance and monetary policy.

During the opening of the conference, the University President said: “We welcome you to the University of Diyala for the opening of the Sixth Scientific Conference, held by the College of Administration and Economics under the generous patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in close institutional and academic cooperation with the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, the Central Bank of Iraq, the Bureau of Statistics and Geographic Information Systems, and the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kirkuk.” He emphasized: “Scientific research is a fundamental pillar of the sustainable educational process at the university and its institutions, and an important requirement for achieving the university’s motto of serving society.” He indicated the university presidency’s keenness to ensure that our minds and competencies in the pure and human sciences play a significant role in developing effective solutions to the problems that hinder our society’s progress and development. He praised the efforts of the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics and all participants in the success of this conference, wishing everyone success in achieving their goals, consolidating the university’s principle of serving society. For his part, the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Maan Abdul Karim, commended the researchers’ interest and eagerness to participate in the academic activities held by the College of Administration and Economics, which seek to build bridges of communication and integration with public and private sector institutions to provide services to the community. The Dean added: “The conference’s scientific committee approved 60 research papers in the fields of innovation and sustainable development, whose papers were written at Iraqi, Algerian, Sudanese, Moroccan, and Jordanian universities.” He recognized the importance of the role of educational institutions in discussing opportunities and challenges from an economic and administrative perspective. He praised the distinguished steps achieved by the Iraqi government, represented by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, in diversifying sources of income and enhancing food security, as well as the Central Bank of Iraq’s plan to finance innovative projects. He extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his generous patronage, to the President of Diyala University for his direct supervision of the conference’s details, to the Federal Board of Financial Supervision, the Central Bank of Iraq, the Bureau of Statistics and Geographic Information Systems, and the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kirkuk for their cooperation and support for the conference, and to the distinguished attendees. The conference featured speeches by conference participants, including the Deputy Chairman of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, Dr. Qaisar Ghazi Al-Saadi. Ms. Adhraa Taha Mohammed delivered a speech on behalf of the Central Bank. The researchers and conference participants were honored with a college shield by the university president and the college dean in appreciation of their outstanding efforts in making the conference a success.
