The College of Management and Economics is organizing a presentation entitled “Accelerated Digital Transformations and Their Impact on the University and Educational Environment”.

Under the patronage of the President of Diyala University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Maan Abdul Karim, the College, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling Unit, organized a presentation on the dual impacts of artificial intelligence.

With guidance from the Dean’s office and under the direct supervision of the Psychological Counseling Unit (Professor Dr. Sanaa Hussein Khalaf and Assistant Lecturer Walaa Ahmed Khalaf), the College organized a presentation delivered by first-year student Samar Alaa El-Din Faroun. The presentation highlighted the rapid digital transformations and their impact on the university and educational environment.

She provided a detailed explanation of how artificial intelligence systems work and their ability to mimic the human mind in data analysis and decision-making. She also focused on the psychological and educational aspects of using these technologies, emphasizing the need for the positive application of artificial intelligence in scientific research while remaining vigilant against its potential negative effects on individual skills and information security.

The session included extensive discussions on how to integrate these smart tools with administrative and economic disciplines to support students’ academic progress.

At the conclusion of the event, the Psychological Counseling Unit affirmed that these seminars are part of the college’s plan to empower students with modern tools and enhance their ability to critique and analyze advanced technology to ensure its use in academic development and progress.
