The College of Administration and Economics is holding a training course titled “How to Make an Interview.”

The Department of Public Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Diyala, organized a training course titled “How to Conduct an Interview,” led by Assistant Lecturer Baraa Rahim Yassin.

The course aimed to teach students how to navigate a job interview, including how to prepare responses and get ready for the interview process. It covered essential skills for job applicants, such as English language proficiency, computer literacy, and the acquisition of sufficient knowledge and information relevant to the prospective role.

The course also focused on phrases to avoid during an interview, suggesting appropriate alternatives. Furthermore, it addressed the importance of professional appearance, proper sitting etiquette, and the art of dialogue and discussion—all of which help candidates earn higher marks and increase their chances of being hired. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, the course incorporated several introductory videos featuring real-life interview examples, helping students visualize how to apply these skills in their future careers.

This training course aligns with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4)—Quality Education—which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. By enhancing students’ English language proficiency, academic communication, and digital skills, the course contributes to the quality of education and supports continuous learning.
